There are around 7,000 children and adults in Northamptonshire that have autism. If you include their families, autism touches the lives of around 20,000 people every day.
We are an independent, parent participating organisation whose mission is to provide support to people across the whole autistic spectrum. We aim to maximise independence and opportunities for people living with the condition, adding to the quality of their lives and that of their families and carers.
Autism Concern has been active in the county for over 20 years servicing the needs of the autistic community in Northamptonshire.
We have always enjoyed huge support from parents/carers, professionals and the business community. Without this hard work and dedication from those who readily chose to be part of our mission by raising funds, we would not be able to offer our various programmes nor develop new ways of meeting the needs of this ever growing community.
Getting involved can mean giving money, time, skills and/or expertise. There is a huge range of ways you can help. Use the drop down menu to explore the range of activities you can get involved in. Autism Concern are now registered with Global Adventure Challenges so if there is a once in a lifetime challenge that you want to undertake why not register for it through Global Adventure Challenges and raise money for Autism Concern.
Take a look at their website to see what types of challenges you could take part in, where in the world you can travel for that moment that you can never forget and then click on the ‘choose your charity’ button and search for Autism Concern in the directory on the left.
